COHIBA
- Läänemere piirkonna programmi project COHIBA (Control of hazardous
substances in the Baltic Sea region). Kestus. Jaanuar 2009-detsember
2011.P rojekti finantseerija: Läänemere piirkonna program 2009 – 2013.
COHIBA projekti eesmärgiks on toetada Läänemere riike ohtlike ainete
kontrolli-alases tegevuses (Läänemere tegevusplaan) ning tõsta idaosa
riikide teadlikkust ja informeeritust ohtlike ainete kontrolli
meetoditest ja praktikatest. Projektis osaleb 22 partnerit 8 Läänemere
riigist, juhtpartneriks on Soome Keskkonnauuringute Instituut
(SYKE). Eesti partneriteks on peale Eesti Mereinstituudi veel TTÜ, MTÜ
Balti Keskkonnafoorum ja Eesti Keskkonnauuringute Keskus. Projekti
toetab Keskkonnainvesteeringute Keskus. Mereinstituudi
merebioloogia osakond osaleb projektis toksikoloogia-alaste uuringutega.

- Integrating ecological values in
the decision making
process on oil spill combating in the Gulf of Finland. (INTERREG IIIA
Southern Finland and Estonian project, Estonian coordinator Dr.

In the framework of
OILECO project the
ecological values of the Finnish and Estonian parts of the Gulf of
Finland will
be plotted, their significance evaluated and supportive information
produced to
facilitate operational decision making in order to protect the most
valuable
populations and habitats in case of an oil spill.

OILECO projekti raames jälgitakse
Soome lahe soome- ja
eestipoolseid ökoloogilisi väärtusi, hinnatakse nende olulisust ja
koostatakse
abiteavet, mis hõlbustaks tegevusega seotud otsuste vastuvõtmist, et
õlilekke
korral kaitsta kõige väärtuslikemaid populatsioone ja levilaid.

EVAGULF is a
Finnish-Estonian joint project that aims for clarifying the general
view on
eutrophication and its ramifications in the Gulf of Finland as well as
for
evaluating effects of protective actions already done and the risks
connected
to present state of the ecosystem. Main object of the project is to
construct a
decision-analysis tool to ease the work of decision-makers.
